MobLand Season 2: What to Expect
MobLand returns to Paramount+ on 18 September 2026 for a second season of ten episodes, released weekly on Fridays through to a finale on 20 November. It is the platform’s most valuable drama that is not set in Texas, and the scheduling reflects it: a Friday slot, a weekly drip, and a third season already commissioned before anyone had seen a frame of the second.
The premise has not moved. The Harrigans are a London crime family run by Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve (Helen Mirren), a couple whose marriage is also a command structure, and Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy) is the fixer who absorbs the consequences of their decisions. Season 1 played that against a war with the Stevensons. Season 2 moves the threat inside: the family has to present a front while rivals work the cracks that last season opened, and the cracks are mostly of the Harrigans’ own making.
Two new names join. Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond are added to a returning ensemble that includes Paddy Considine as Kevin, Lara Pulver as Isabella, Anson Boon as Eddie, Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina and Joanne Froggatt as Harry’s wife Jan.
The show is persistently filed under Guy Ritchie, who directed the opening run and executive produces, but it was created by Ronan Bennett, whose Top Boy is the clearest reference point for what MobLand is actually doing with London, and run by Jez Butterworth. It also began as something else entirely: a Ray Donovan spin-off titled The Donovans, retooled into a standalone British series in October 2024.
Season 1 premiered on 30 March 2025 and became Paramount+‘s largest global series launch, 2.2 million viewers on day one and more than 26 million views across the run, behind only Landman on the service. On 3 September 2026, before season 2 had aired, Paramount+ ordered a third season with Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren attached.
