The context
The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix runs from Thursday November 19 to Saturday November 21 on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, as round 21 of 23. As in every edition since F1 returned to the city in 2023, the race is held on Saturday night: lights out at 8 p.m. local time, which is 11 p.m. on the US East Coast and the early hours of Sunday November 22 in Europe (4 a.m. in London, 5 a.m. in Paris, Madrid and Berlin).
The weekend follows a standard format with no sprint. Practice 1 and 2 run on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., practice 3 and qualifying follow on Friday at the same times, and the 50-lap race closes the event on Saturday. In the United States the whole weekend is on Apple TV, F1’s exclusive US partner since 2026; in the UK, Sky Sports F1 carries every session.
The 6.2 km layout is built around the city: 17 corners, the long blast down Las Vegas Boulevard, a section along Koval Lane and a lap past the Sphere. Speeds on the Strip are among the highest of the season, and cold night air makes tyre warm-up the recurring headache. Last year’s race became famous for what happened after the flag: Max Verstappen won, then both McLarens were disqualified for excessive skid block wear, moving George Russell and Kimi Antonelli onto the podium. Verstappen also won in 2023, Russell in 2024.
The championship will not be on the line. Kimi Antonelli became world champion in Mexico City on November 1, the youngest in F1 history at 20 years and 68 days. Las Vegas is about wins and second place in the standings, where Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Russell and Charles Leclerc are separated by a handful of points after 19 rounds, and possibly about grid penalties: Russell has already exceeded his power-unit allocation and has said Las Vegas is a likely place to take his next one.
Before Las Vegas comes the São Paulo Grand Prix (November 6-8); after it, Qatar on November 29 and the Abu Dhabi finale on December 6. Full standings and calendar on our F1 2026 season page.
