The context
The 2026 F1 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps on July 19 was Kimi Antonelli’s sixth win of the season and perhaps his most commanding. Starting from pole, the Mercedes driver found himself behind Charles Leclerc for portions of the race but made his tyres work better over the final stint and came through to win by 1.9 seconds.
