The context
UFC 329 is one of the most anticipated pay-per-view events of 2026, headlined by a high-stakes featherweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway, two former champions meeting again more than a decade after their first encounter. The card takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 11, 2026.
McGregor vs Holloway 2 (main event, featherweight). Their first fight was in 2015 at UFC 189, when McGregor was on his meteoric rise and defeated Holloway by decision. In the years since, Holloway became one of the greatest featherweights in UFC history: seven successful title defences, wins over Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, and Arnold Allen, and a BMF title. McGregor, meanwhile, became a global superstar and two-weight champion, but has been inactive since a leg injury in his most recent fight in 2023. The rematch is a test of whether McGregor can still compete at the highest level, and for Holloway, a chance to settle old business.
Benoît Saint-Denis vs Paddy Pimblett (co-main, lightweight). The night’s most intriguing matchup for European fight fans. Saint-Denis, 31, is a former French special forces soldier who has strung together four consecutive finishes in the lightweight division and entered UFC 329 as a slight favourite. Pimblett, the Liverpool-born crowd favourite, is one of the sport’s most marketable personalities and carries enormous momentum into this fight. Both men are top-10 contenders and the winner could be next in line for a title shot. BSD has called it a potential Fight of the Night performance; Pimblett’s corner has not publicly disagreed.
The prelims feature Robert Whittaker vs Nikita Krylov, Cody Garbrandt vs Adrian Yanez, and Gable Steveson vs Elisha Ellison, among others. Main card starts at 10pm ET on July 11 via ESPN+ PPV in the US.
