Tom Brady
Tom Brady is the most decorated quarterback in NFL history, seven Super Bowl rings, a supermodel ex-wife, and a post-retirement life that stays permanently in the headlines.
Tom Brady: The GOAT Who Can’t Stay Quiet
Tom Brady was born on August 3, 1977, in San Mateo, California. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, pick No. 199, a slight that he spent two decades weaponizing against every team that passed on him. He went on to win seven Super Bowls (six with New England, one with Tampa Bay), more than any single franchise in NFL history.
Brady retired, twice. His first retirement announcement in February 2022 lasted exactly 40 days before he un-retired. He then officially retired for good on February 1, 2023, at age 45, closing one of the most statistically dominant careers in professional sports history: 89,214 passing yards, 649 touchdown passes, five Super Bowl MVP awards.
Off the field, Brady’s personal life has attracted as much attention as his game. His decade-plus marriage to supermodel Gisele Bündchen ended in a very public divorce finalized in October 2022, and the tabloid aftermath has kept him a constant search topic. He also has a son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan from a previous relationship.
Since retiring, Brady has pivoted hard into business, he co-founded the sports media company Religion of Sports, launched the TB12 wellness brand, holds a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders (a deal that required NFL approval), and is set to join Fox Sports as a lead NFL analyst under a reported landmark broadcasting contract. His life after football is being built as deliberately as any two-minute drill.
