Milly Alcock
Milly Alcock is the Australian actress who made the world stop scrolling as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon, and she's only just getting started.
Who is Milly Alcock?
Millicent “Milly” Alcock was born on 11 April 2000 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She began her acting career in Australian television, landing roles in series like Upright, The Gloaming, and Covid-19 Emergency. It was solid, working-actor stuff, but nothing that set the internet on fire.
That changed in 2022 when she was cast as the young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel. Her performance, fierce, wounded, and politically sharp, drew immediate comparisons to the best of the original series. She became a bona fide overnight sensation, the kind that takes years of work to build.
After House of the Dragon, Alcock was cast as Supergirl / Kara Zor-El in James Gunn’s rebooted DC Universe, set to appear in Superman (2025). That casting announcement alone confirmed she had vaulted into a different tier of Hollywood entirely.
She also appears in the Netflix thriller series Sirens (2025), starring alongside Julianne Moore, further cementing her range as an actress willing to take on wildly different projects in quick succession.
Alcock is notably private about her personal life, which, combined with her rapid rise, makes her one of the most searched young actresses on the internet right now.
