Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa is the biggest pop force of her generation, wrapping a record-breaking world tour in 2025 and dropping a live film in 2026 to prove the era isn't over yet.
Dua Lipa: pop’s reigning disco queen
Born in London on 22 August 1995 to Albanian parents, Dua Lipa grew up between the UK and Kosovo before clawing her way into the music industry as a teenager. She signed with Warner, released a self-titled debut in 2017, and became a genuine superstar with Future Nostalgia (2020), an album that essentially rescued the global pop conversation during lockdown.
Her sound sits at the crossroads of disco, synth-pop, and R&B, and she has the hardware to back it up: multiple Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. Singles like “Levitating,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Physical” are now bona-fide pop standards, streamed billions of times across platforms.
In 2024 she released her third album, Radical Optimism, and launched a mammoth 81-date world tour of the same name, her most commercially successful run to date, stretching from late 2024 through December 2025. The tour’s cultural footprint was large enough to warrant an official live document: Dua Lipa (Live from Mexico), released on her YouTube channel on 21 May 2026.
Beyond music, Dua Lipa is a fixture in fashion (a recurring face at major houses), a podcast host (Dua Lipa: At Your Service), and a vocal advocate for Kosovo’s cultural identity. That rare combination of mainstream commercial dominance and credible cultural cachet is why she never really leaves the search charts.
